What is the difference between Mounjaro and Wegovy?
Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. Wegovy contains semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Both are weekly self-injections approved for weight management in the UK. Clinical trials show Mounjaro produces slightly greater average weight loss (up to 22% vs 15% for Wegovy), but individual results vary.
